ABOUT THE NETWORK

The mission of Acts is to connect leaders who are making disciples of Jesus in every action sport in every nation. Our vision is to see God glorified in the world of action sports.

ACTS is NOT an organization but rather a network that that connects a diverse group of leaders from around the world each representing different action sports, ministries, and organizations.

As a network we value serving, partnering, & teams

Below you’ll find our “ethos” as well as principles that we ask all members of the ACTS Network agree to when interacting together. Our Statement of Faith shares our core beliefs and ultimately what unifies each of the members within the Network.

  • The ACT network is more of a movement rather than an organization. It is made up of both individuals and organizations. The following is a summary of the ethos which are the principles all ACTS members agree to play by when interacting together. We recognize that one can have a different set of ethos within their organizations. All action sports ministries and individuals are welcomed within this network until they prove they cannot play by this ethos.

    Power, Titles, Positions, and Power

We don't need titles or seek political power or financial payment. Rather we serve in roles and will be ever looking for more talented people of all backgrounds to whom we can mentor and give these roles to. We aim to keep rotating our leadership, encouraging and training the new, whilst retaining the benefits of the old leadership.

    Partnering and Cooperation

We build partnerships based on trust with a high value for teamwork, giving, consensus and transparency. To this end we believe in direct personal communication and will not avoid conflict. We affirm the local church as a major partner and will affirm her.

    Open Source

We believe in collaboration in all shared resources and give our best work away without cost or any individual logo. There are no copyrights in this network and all can claim credit for our collective efforts. Where organizations own resources they cannot share openly, we respect that.

    Organizations

We lay down our organizational agendas in the network and will not use the network in a self promoting way. No one is to bypass the relational building of trust regardless of the size of their organization, we are all equal.

    Security

We recognize in this information age we can threaten the safety of others in restricted nations. We will do our best to protect them by not posting the images in any online media outlets.

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
